Open Studios 2013 – By the Numbers [Infographic]

open studios
It’s tough to beat October in Santa Cruz.

The summer crowds are gone, the weather is perfect, and there’s Open Studios.

Every year hundreds of local artists show their work during the Open Studios Art Tour, which takes place the first three weekends in October.

This year the first weekend will feature artists in the North County, followed by the South County artists the second weekend.  As always, the third weekend is encore weekend, when many of the artists open their studios for an extra weekend.

In addition to bringing you the standard information about the event (you can get that here) we decided to do something a bit different for Open Studios. The result is the infographic below where we investigate some of the numbers inside the Open Studios Art Tour.

  3. Ethan,

What a wonderful job to put this together! Love your dedication to the artists in Santa Cruz County. We are so blessed to be supported the way we are by the Arts Council, and our community.
If you have a few spare minutes, please stop by and visit the three of us showing here off Graham Hill Rd. The welcome mat is out!
Thanks very much for your efforts.

    • Hi Lynette,

Thank you so much. We certainly are lucky to live in a place that celebrates art the way Santa Cruz does. I’ll try to make it to your studio. Have a great Open Studios!
