Hang out with the Santa Cruz Derby Girls this Friday night as you enjoy some delicious food from local food truck vendors. Get photos and autographs, try your luck at arm wrestling, and enter to win prizes. A Derby Girl might even be serving you a drink at the onsite Beer and Wine Garden fundraiser for the Scotts Valley Educational Foundation. Bring your wheels of choice for an all-ages outdoor skate!
Los Lonely Boys

The Friday Night Bands on the Beach series continues this week with Los Lonely Boys. These three brothers from San Angelo, Texas, bring you their unique music combo of rock and roll, Texas-style blues and little bit of country. Two concert show times!
Heart of Soquel Walking Tour
When: 7/20 from 10:00 am to 11:00 am
Where: Heart of Soquel County Park
Cost: Free (Pre-register by calling 831-454-7941)
Take a walk through the riparian habitat along Soquel Creek in one of the newest additions to the Santa Cruz County Parks system with Project Manager Sheryl Bailey. Learn about the plans to complete the project while exploring all that the new park has to offer. Tour takes place along an ADA-compliant trail.
Teen Splash Night
When: 7/20 from 7:30 pm to 10:00 pm
Where: Simpkins Family Swim Center
Cost: Free
Teens swim FREE at this Teen Splash night celebration. All pools will be open including the waterslide and the warm water pool. Have fun with inner-tubes and the climbing wall, too. “Pirates of the Caribbean: The Curse of the Black Pearl” will be showing from 8:30 pm to 10:00 pm in the Community room.

Screening of Surfing Documentary “Great Highway”

PASSPORT CELEBRATION DAYS

Visit local wineries and more than 50 tasting rooms in various locations in the Santa Cruz mountains, each offering their own Passport Celebration Day experience. With your passport, you can visit the participating wineries every day during business hours. Passports can be purchased directly from the wineries, but call ahead to see if they are in stock.
Evenings with the Fresnel Lens
When: 7/21 from 8:00 pm to 9:00 pm
Where: Pigeon Point Light Station State Historic Park
Cost: Free
Even though the Pigeon Point Lighthouse is undergoing repair, you can still see the Fresnel Lens, lighthouse’s original beacon, at its temporary location in the park visitor center. Bring a flashlight and warm clothes for a fascinating look at how this beacon once guided ships along the coastline.
