Own a local business or franchise in the Santa Cruz area? Interested in becoming involved with the local business scene, or informing others on what your business does for the community?
Then the Santa Cruz Business Fair is just the event for you.
Put on by the Santa Cruz Chamber of Commerce, the Business Fair is an opportunity for local start-up entrepreneurs and head honchos alike to mingle, exchange ideas, and gain exposure in the community.
Or, as the Chamber puts it,
The Fair’s three-hour format at the Cocoanut Grove provides exhibitors the benefits of the Fair’s “store front for a day” and gives Santa Cruzans a chance to learn about the businesses, nonprofit organizations, and individuals who are changing the game in Santa Cruz County… The Business Fair and Expo is an excellent opportunity to mix, network, and learn firsthand about the creative risk takers who work, live, and play here in Santa Cruz.
Over 100 local business are already signed up to attend the event, and over 1,500 people usually attend.
Not only is the fair a great chance for exposure in and of itself, but they offer several different marketing packages for local businesses to make the most of their attendance. Packages range from the simple booth and 25 ticket option to the opportunity to be a lead sponsor, which entails having a double booth at the fair and advertising on television, radio, print and online, as well as more features.
Santa Cruz Economic Development is one of those lead sponsors. This department of local government seeks to foster and aid local businesses in Santa Cruz, and will be offering tips and information about their services at the Fair.
Taking place at the Coconut Grove, the Fair will feature more than just dry business talk. There will also be food and beverage samples from local restaurants and wineries — Santa Cruz Mountain Brewery, Vino Cruz, Hula’s Island Grille, and Pacific Cookie Company have all been vendors before. Last year’s special guests included the Santa Cruz Warriors‘ mascot, Mav’Riks, and the Santa Cruz Derby Girls.
The Santa Cruz Chamber of Commerce has had some big recent successes under their belt, including Kaiser Permanente Arena and the 2030 General Plan. Maybe you’ll be a part of a similar big development, or maybe you’ll just find some great resources to help a business venture you’ve already started or always wanted to start. Either way, you’ve got little to lose and a lot to gain at this year’s Santa Cruz Business Fair.
