EOS: An Original Circus & Acrobatic Ensemble

If you enjoyed AeraFlux, an industrial dance journey put on by Allie Cooper last year, then you will not want to miss EOS, a multimedia-focused accompaniment that debuts this weekend. Themes include adolescence, coping with violence, and renewal.
The Nutcracker
When: 12/18 – 12/20 at 8:00 pm, 1:30 pm and 4:30 pm
Where: Santa Cruz Civic Auditorium
Cost: $15 – $55
For many local families, the holidays just aren’t complete without the annual trip to the Civic Auditorium to take in the Nutcracker. Whether your family has been partaking for generations, or this is your first time seeing the famous ballet, this is a great tradition for people of all ages to enjoy.
Warriors vs Bakersfield
When: 12/18 at 7:00 pm
Where: Kaiser Permanente Arena
Cost: $17 – $40
The Warriors currently lead the NBA D League with a record of seven wins and four loses. See if they can bump that W column up to an eight as they take on the Bakersfield Jam.
Twinkle Tours
When: Thursdays – Sundays ending Jan. 3
Where: Mount Hermon Adventures
Cost: $99
Elves will lead you on a special nighttime zip lining trip through a magnificently lit forest when you embark on a Twinkle Tour. This special opportunity is open to anyone over ten years old (please see height/weight requirements).
Third Fridays – Capitola Mall Walking Art Tour
When: 12/18 from 5:30 pm to 8:30 pm
Where: Capitola Mall
Cost: Free
Every third Friday of the month, the Capitola mall transforms into an expansive art gallery, with diverse local art placed on display throughout its halls. Art lovers young and old are invited to enjoy the art, refreshments, and live music.
Merry Christmas with Ho’omana at Pono
When: 12/18 from 6:30 pm to 9:00 pm
Where: Pono Hawaiian Grill
Cost: $10 suggested donation
If you have yet to catch Ho’omana play its distinct Hawaiian sound at Pono, Aloha Friday is your chance to experience Christmas on the Islands, if only for a few hours. You’ll love them so much, you’ll come back on Sunday when they provide the music for a special Christmas show featuring hula, Tahitian, and Samoan dancing.

The Idaho Stampede may be ranked at the bottom of the NBA D League Western Conference, but that does not mean they cannot pull out an upset against our beloved Warriors. Help make sure this doesn’t happen by coming out and giving our team a true home court advantage.
Holiday Card Making at the Homeless Garden Project

Christmas with the Chorale

Where: Holy Cross Church

More music has been written to honor Christmas than for any other occasion, and Holy Cross’ chorale, along with the Monterey Bay Sinfonetta and other local musicians, will perform a wide variety of them at this performance, which is open to the entire community.
