All About Theatre presents Bye Bye Birdie

Rock n’ roll star Conrad Birdie is on top of the world, until he gets drafted into WWII. If you love catchy tunes, gentle satire of American culture, and Elvis Presley-inspired tunes, then you will not want to miss this All About Theatre presentation of a beloved American musical.
San Lorenzo River Levee Lighting Ceremony
When: 1/22 from 5:15 pm to 5:45 pm
Where: San Lorenzo River Levee
Cost: Free
The San Lorenzo River Parkway is seeing a lot of new renovations, including a seating area and a fitness station for everyone to use. Come join Mayor Cynthia Mathews and get a sneak peek of these changes, as well as new energy efficient levee pathway lighting.

Boomer Humor

Whether you area baby boomer yourself or just love the idiosyncrasies of the boomers in your life, you’ll likely get quite a few chuckles out of Boomer Humor, a satire of politics, love and everything in between.
Santa Cruz Symphony Concert: “Mahler’s 1st”
When: 1/23 at 8:00 pm and 1/24 at 2:00 pm
Where: Civic Auditorium
Cost: $27 – $72
The first time Gustav Mahler premiered his first symphony in Budapest, it was met with terrible reception. So Mahler went home, made a few adjustments, and the rest is history. You can hear the symphony in its completed form over at the Civic Auditorium this Saturday night.
Warriors vs Rio Grande Valley Vipers

Where: Kaiser Permanente Arena

Round 2 in the matchup between the Warriors and the Valley Vipers will likely be another grueling matchup, as the two teams have almost identical season records. If you’re already going on Friday, make a whole weekend out of it…plus, it’s Sunglasses Giveaway Night!
