First Friday
First Friday, everyone’s favorite monthly art event, takes place tonight. Check out the First Friday website to get details of all the showings tonight. In addition to the regular stops, the Chaminade is also participating in their first First Friday.

Emmylou Harris comes to town tonight to play the Civic Auditorium. Joined by Rodney Crowell, and with opening act Richard Thompson, this is one that is sure to please fans of this renowned singer songwriter.

The Stone Foxes
If Emmylou Harris isn’t for you, and you’re looking to rock out a bit more, then check out The Stone Foxes. The San Francisco based band will be playing at Don Quixote’s on Friday

Princess in Disguise: A Steampunk Fairytale
The 418 Project will feature artist, Sirena Andrea, and her performance of the Grimm Brothers’ Princess in Disguise ~ A Steampunk Fairy Tale. The performance includes storytelling, magic, and much more. Get tickets here.

Santa Cruz Sea Glass & Ocean Art Festival
Sea glass will be the center of attention at the Santa Cruz Sea Glass Festival this Saturday and Sunday at the Cocoanut Grove. Admission is only $5, and the even runs from 10:00 am – 5:00 pm each day.

Poppy Farm Fair & Bluegrass Jubilee
The Native Revival Nursery in Aptos will be hosting the Poppy Farm Fair & Bluegrass Jubilee this Saturday. This local craft and artisan fair allows visitors to stroll through a native plant garden, enjoy great food, and listen to live Bluegrass music.
