Friday
All Hands Grand Opening
When: 4/19 from 4:00 pm to 6:00 pm
Where: All Hands Workshops
Join the celebration as Santa Cruz’s craft/maker space makes it official! Mayor Martine Watkins will cut the ribbon at 5:30 while guests munch on cookies from the Big Bite Bakeshop. One lucky crafter will win a year’s worth of workshops at this newest creative space. Stick around for the block printing class at 6 pm, or sign up for future classes such as natural egg dying or shibori.
Anthony Arya – Blues Night at Food Lounge
When: 4/19 from 6:00 pm to 10:00 pm

Cost: Food and Drink for purchase
Catch local phenom Anthony Arya while you can, this time singing the blues. This is the last in Anthony’s series at the Food Lounge. After appearing on The Voice and releasing an album, Anthony’s latest accomplishment is winning a prestigious NEXTies award.
Guys & Dolls Presented by Scotts Valley HS Theatre
When: 4/18 – 4/20 & 4/26 – 4/28
Where: Scotts Valley High School
Cost: $15 General, $12 Students and Seniors
This award winning crime comedy is a 1950’s classic not to be missed. Talented students from Scotts Valley High School will perform in this fun, family-friendly musical production from another era.

Enjoy and celebrate the colors, flavors and sounds of Oaxacan culture with traditional food and beverages, and live music. Feast on famous Oaxacan treats with mole sauce and wash it all down with chocolate con leche, cafe con olla, or jamaica! Proceeds go to Senderos, a community organization that provides free after-school and weekend activities to local Latinx kids promoting cultural enrichment and connection, bi-lingual literacy, pride and new skills.
Santa Cruz Earth Day 2019
When: 4/20 from 11:00 am to 4:00 pm
Where: San Lorenzo Park
Cost: Free
There’s tons of fun, food and laughter to be found at Earth Day Santa Cruz. Enjoy the music of SambaDá while you watch the recycled fashion show, peruse the electric vehicle showcase and enjoy delicious vegetarian food and a beer. Lots of great kids activities as well. Remind yourself of how to take positive action for sustainability at various vendor and information booths.
420 Rolling Laughter Comedy Revue
When: 4/20 at 7:30 pm
Where: Kuumbwa Jazz Center
Cost: $25 in advance, $30 at the door
They say laughter is the best medicine and you can get a full dose with the comedic trio of Will Durst, Dan St. Paul and Richard Stockton. They will deliver the goods so you can just sit back and prepare to giggle, chuckle and roar with laughter. You’ll feel better!
1st Annual Veteran Chili Cook Off
When: 4/20 at 1:00 pm to 7:00 pm
Where: VFW Freedom Post 1716
Cost: $10 Pre-sale; $12 Door
Presented by Vets 4 Vets, 15 chili teams will compete for your taste buds’ approval at this fundraiser. Have fun while helping out those who served and are now in need.
CAPITOLA VILLAGE EASTER EGG HUNT
When: 4/20 from 11:00 am to 12:00 pm
Where: Capitola Beach, in front of the Capitola Venetian Hotel
Cost: Free
The Easter Bunny has hidden some candy-filled eggs in the sand in Capitola, and kids 12 and under are invited to find them! The Easter Bunny will stick around for photo-ops. Parents are asked to enforce a 3-egg limit so there is plenty for everyone.
ROARING CAMP RAILROADS: EGGSTRAORDINARY EASTER EGG HUNT
When: 4/20 – 4/21 at 2:00 pm (earlier times sold out)
Where: Roaring Camp Railroads
Cost: $23 & $32
That busy Bunny will take the magic to Roaring Camp as well on Saturday. Families can take a train ride up Bear Mountain, where kids can participate in a hunt for chocolate eggs! This event is BYOB (bring your own basket).
BSLO presents Verdi’s Aida
