You won’t have to go far to forage for mushrooms after the recent rains. The 3-day Fungus Fair returns this weekend to Louden Nelson bringing fungus fun for the whole family.
Local youth perform at the Rio, the Warriors play two home games, and a local literary re-inauguration takes place.
Throw in some comedy, dancing, and beer making 101 and you’ve got the makings for a great weekend. Enjoy!

A fan of fungus? If you haven’t yet participated in this annual Santa Cruz tradition, you’re missing out. Santa Cruz is home to hundreds of mushroom species and this weekend-long event has an extensive recreation of their habitat where you can see, touch and learn all about native fungi. The event also has cooking demonstrations, speakers, a kid’s room, mushroom delicacies for sale and more.
Scientist Turned Comedian Tim Lee

Some of the best comedians have brilliant minds. Tim Lee, a PhD scientist who retired his lab coat for a microphone promises to have you laughing and maybe even learning a little something this fun-filled evening.
