Jewel Theatre Presents: The Book Club Play

Crossing Bhutan – A Journey to Find Happiness

Santa Cruz High’s Cross Country Team is bringing a community showing of Crossing Bhutan as a fundraiser for both their running club and the Bhutan Association of Women Entrepreneurs. Humble Sea Brewing Co. Popup Taproom
When: 1/27 from 3:00 pm to 10:00 pm 1/28 from 12:00 pm to 10:00 pm

Join Humble Sea Brewing Co. at the MAH for Weekend 3 of their popup taproom featuring two beer releases. Partake of a new hoppy beer on Friday and a new barrel-fermented saison brett on Saturday. There will also be a taproom cook off on Saturday giving the community a chance to vote on dishes they’d like to see on the menu when the taproom opens later this year.

Santa Cruz Warriors vs. Rio Grande Valley Vipers

Carnival of the Animals Family Concert

This is a fantastic opportunity to expose your kids to the world of symphony and enjoy a family concert featuring Charles-Camille Saint-Saëns’ Carnival of the Animals. Come for the music representing different animals, stay for the Orchestra Petting Zoo. There will be poetry, ballet, and a chance to “meet the instruments” after the performance.
Santa Cruz Health & Fitness Week
When: 1/29 from 12:00 pm to 3:00 pm
Where: Kaiser Permanente Arena

We’re lucky to have so many options to help us live a healthy lifestyle in Santa Cruz. Health and Fitness Week is geared toward connecting Santa Cruz County residents with those options and offering a week to sample classes, sessions, and workshops around town. Your $5 ticket includes entry to the showcase at Kaiser Permanent Arena and one class per location from January 30th through February 4th.
Laura Hecox Day Memorial and Lighthouse Field Cleanup
When: 1/29 from 11:00 am to 12:00 pm
Where: Lighthouse Field State Beach
The Museum of Natural History traces its beginnings to naturalist Laura Hecox and her collection of seashells, minerals, fossils, and Indian artifacts. She is buried at the Santa Cruz Memorial Cemetery where this event begins with a brief ceremony at her gravesite. Afterwards, participants will gather for a cleanup of Lighthouse Field in her honor.
